Highway Viaducts in Salvador de Bahía, Brasil

IDEAM has collaborated with EGT Engenharia (São Paulo) in the detailed design of three steel-concrete composite highway viaducts in Salvador da Bahía, Brasil.

The deck superstructure is a composite (steel&concrete) box girder with 46m typical spans and a horizontal radius of 50m, and will allow drivers to reverse the traffic direction over the Paralela Avenue in Salvador. The viaducts are complementary works to the main construction of Line 2 of the Salvador Metro, which is located in the middle of the avenue.
