The 4 sections of the central steel box girder of the deck of the new singular Arch Bridge of Valdebebas have already been placed on site, over them the arch will be supported under temporary props.
The bridge, which will connect the T-4 from Barajas-Madrid airport with Valdebebas, crosses over the M-12 Higway.
The 24.5 m wide deck is made up of 5 segments, and the 130 m central one is already placed in an area adjacent to the final location of the bridge, supported on temporary props.
Once the steel structure is completed, it will be moved to its final location on the M-12 in a special operation.
The arch bridge has a main span of 162 m and a total length of 207 m. IDEAM is the author of the structural conception, of the detailed design and is carrying out the Construction Management for the “Junta de Compensación Parque de Valdebebas”.
Ferrovial is the constructor and Talleres Dizmar the steel workshop that is working on the bridge’s structure.
