Recal has awarded IDEAM | A TYLin Company (through the subsidiary IDEAM Ingenieros Estructurales de México) the Contract for the “DEVELOPMENT OF STUDIES AND EXECUTIVE PROJECTS FOR THE REHABILITATION, REPLACEMENT, MODERNIZATION AND/OR RECONSTRUCTION OF 526 BRIDGES AND RAILWAYS ON THE LINE K AND KA IXTEPEC, OAX.-CD. HIDALGO, CHIAPAS RELATIVE TO THE PROGRAM FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE ISTHMUS OF TEHUANTEPEC 2020-2024”. The Contract includes the evaluation of all the bridges on the line, and the complete rehabilitation of 473 km of the railway line.

The rehabilitation project of the line and its structures will be carried out by the companies of T.Y. Lin International: IDEAM | A TYLin Company and GPO Group | A TYLin Company.

The K railway line runs through the states of Oaxaca and Chiapas and runs from Ixtepec, Oaxaca to Ciudad Hidalgo, Chiapas and connects with Guatemala along its 473 km.

Recal has the contract for the rehabilitation of the line, which currently is not operative, under the management and supervision of the Secretary of Navy SEMAR. This Project seeks for the line to be established, in conjunction with Lines Z and FA, as a freight rail transport service that interconnects the main cities and railway ports of the southeastern region of the country, connecting four of the states with the greatest potential within Mexico, thus promoting the socioeconomic development of the country.

This Contract strengthens the presence and growth of T.Y. Lin International (through IDEAM | A TYLin Company and GPO Group | A TYLin Company #design #management #project ) in Mexico and is an important challenge for the design and rehabilitation of structures.
