Bridges on the “Z” Railway Line in Mexico

Recal has awarded IDEAM | A TYLin Company the Contract for the “TECHNICAL VIABILITY STUDIES AND EXECUTIVE PROJECTS FOR THE REHABILITATION, REPLACEMENT, MODERNIZATION AND/OR RECONSTRUCTION of 7 railway bridges in section 2, km. Z-137+564 to Z-186+046, of the “Z” line, between the towns of Ubero and Mogoñe, in the State of Oaxaca in Mexico.

Line Z connects the states of Veracruz and Oaxaca, has a length of 212 km, and is integrated into the Mexican railway network of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec.

Recal has the contract for manufacture, execution and commissioning of the works corresponding to the replacement of 7 of the 16 currently existing railway bridges of section 2, under the management and supervision of the Secretary of the Navy SEMAR. This Project seeks for the line to be established, in conjunction with Lines K and FA, as a freight rail transport service that interconnects the main cities and railway ports of the southeastern region of the country, connecting four of the states with the greatest potential. within the Mexican Republic, thus promoting the socioeconomic development of the country.

This Contract strengthens the presence and growth of IDEAM | A TYLin Company in Mexico and is an important challenge of design and rehabilitation of structures.
