A few months ago our colleague Carlos Gordo Monsó, Senior Project Manager at IDEAM, S.A. and Associate Pofessor at the Civil Engineering School of the Technical University of Madrid (UPM), , presented his Doctoral Thesis “Seismic analysis of underground Metro stations built by the Cut-and-Cover method” with a distinction “Cum Laude”.

As a result of his wonderful work, he has just been awarded a Special Mention in the first edition of the Antonio Soriano Award 2019-2020, for the best thesis in the field of Geotechnical Engineering.
