Maya Train Viducts

IDEAM, S.A. is collaborating with “LAMAT Tramo 1” Consortium, led by Mota-Engil, in the detailed design of 3 composite (steel&concrete) viaducts with a total length of 5,270 m on Section 1 of the Maya Train, in Mexico.

After the completion of the detailed design of the New Boca del Cerro Bridge over the Usumacinta River (https://lnkd.in/d2SCwRTa), also in Section 1 of the Maya Train, IDEAM SA is carrying out the detailes design of the viaducts:
– Tenosique, 2,920 m long
– Candelaria, 1,270 m long
– Escárcega, 1,080 m long

The 3 composite viaducts will be executed with a succession of multiple simple supported spans with of a typical span of 40 m, with a steel twin girder connected to the upper concrete slab. The torsional circuit is closed by means of a steel bottom bracing.

IDEAM SA has accumulated, for more than 20 years, a very important experience in the design and supervising of the execution of composite (steel&concrete) high-speed rail bridges and viaducts.
