The Civil Engineering magazine edited by CEDEX published, in its number 195, the central article on “The New Pumarejo Bridge” the widest bridge in the world in its typology.

The article is signed by David Ordín and Rüdiguer Spengler from SACYR and Luis Matute and Miguel Ortega from IDEAM.

IDEAM has been the author of the construction project and technical assistance during execution, working for SACYR, the Construction Company in charge of the works.

As the article describes in detail, everything in this work has been a great challenge, using unconventional auxiliary means manufactured expressly for this work, which make it one of the biggest span cable-stayed bridges in South America (380 m) and the widest of the world in its typology (38.10 m).
