The execution of the new outstanding Arch Bridge of Valdebebas is progressing successfully. The bridge will connect with the Terminal T-4 of the Barajas Madrid airport crossing over the road M-12. Last week the central section with 72 t was lifted by crane and placed on site on the starts of the bottom part of the arch in the area next to the abutments.
The bridge main span is 162 m and the total length is 207 m.
IDEAM, S.A is the author of the structural conception, the detailed design and is carrying out the Construction Management for the “Junta de Compensación Parque de Valdebebas”. Ferrovial is the main contactor and Dizmar the steel workshop that is working on the bridge structure.
